Basenjis can bark, but it's not like the machine gun rolling barks of most domestic dogs. It's like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3vFp_7tehQ&feature=related

It's a bit like the "woofs" that wolves make.

Actually that's an Irish water spaniel.

Here's a photo of an American:

The Irish is bigger, has a topknot, and a "rat tail." The American looks a lot like a cross between a Field Spaniel and an Irish water spaniel.

For some reason, Affenpinschers are really hard to breed. They have only a few puppies at a time, and these are relatively large, often requiring a C-section to deliver them. The pups themselves aren't that hardy, and many die while their eyes are still closed. This is one of the toughest dogs to breed. That's why it's so uncommon.

Suzanne,

Hope your holiday went well also. We are under 5 feet of snow. Our website (<a href="http://" rel="nofollow">www.calmodogtraining.com</a>) is a resource for dog owners from training, feeding, clothing, insuring.adopting and memorials. I would like to exchange links and put your site on our training page. If it is not in conflict with your page we would like a listing somewhere on your site for dog supplies. We also have a page for dog adoption if you have anything you would like on this page. I will pick out a good photo and put it in our gallery with a link to your web site or blog site if you wish. Our site is very new and always going through changes. Mainly because we are new to this website stuff but catching on slowly. Anyway hope you have a good new years eve. Keep me posted.

Hello there,
My name is Suzanne and I'm with Sit Means Sit Dog training in Los Angeles CA. My best boy is Peter, and I'm attaching some photos of him at his first field trials this past September. We both had a great time and we both learned a few lessons too.
